HealthBridge – Privacy Policy

Effective date: 22 October 2026

HealthBridge (package app.hwbridge.health) is an Android app built by an individual developer for personal use. It copies the user's own health data from HUAWEI Health Kit into Google Health Connect on the same phone. This policy explains which data the app accesses and how it is handled.

1. Data the app accesses

After the user signs in with their HUAWEI ID and grants consent, the app reads the following data from HUAWEI Health Kit, read-only:

The app does not access contacts, location, photos, advertising identifiers or any data not listed above.

2. How the data is used

The data is used for one purpose only: writing it into Google Health Connect on the user's own device, so that the user can see it in other health apps they choose. The app does not analyse, profile or display the data beyond a short sync log on the device.

3. Where the data goes

4. Data stored on the device

The app stores in its private storage only: the OAuth tokens needed to access HUAWEI Health Kit, the time of the last sync and a short text log of recent syncs. Backups of this storage are disabled. All of it is deleted when the app is uninstalled.

5. User control

6. Security

All network communication uses HTTPS. Tokens are kept in the app's private storage, which other apps cannot access.

7. Children

The app is not intended for children and is not distributed publicly.

8. Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be published at this address with a new effective date.
